I survived...barely!
I am thrilled to announce that we have reached out to John Murdy, the visionary Creative Director behind Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights, with a request for an interview!
Having first met John as a teenager in 2017, and reconnecting in 2024, these encounters have only deepened my admiration for his masterful work. He's truly the undisputed King of Horror in the themed entertainment world, and I can't wait to (hopefully) dive deep into his brilliant creative process, sources of inspiration, and decades of industry experience.
Fingers crossed he says yes...stay tuned for what could be an electrifying conversation you won't want to miss!
I went full leprechaun video pitch mode with shamrock-waving flair, and imaginary pot-o’-gold sparkle, setting the mood by playing Ireland’s National Anthem.
Like a tipsy lad who just spotted a rainbow-ending jackpot of Lucky Charms, my pub-style Irish charm was unleashed just to ask the legend for an interview.

When Warren was still rocking his journalist music magazine press badge like it was an Excalibur, he cornered Jose "Metal Ambassador" Mangin at a chaotic 2020 Ice Nine Kills fan event.
Jose the SiriusXM Kingpin unleashed that legendary grin when Warren asked “Can I interview you?” Jose roared with laughter, gave Warren a bro-hug and declared, contributing to YOU, an up-and coming journalist influencer with Off Record Mic, interviewing me will be my platinum record moment!”
Jose has been the Program Director and Host of SirusXM Liquid Metal, Octane and Ozzy’s Boneyard stations longer than most bands last. In addition to broadcasting, he’s also a media personality, actor, husband and dad.
